On January 15, 2024, the IEEE Enicarthage Student Branch hosted an insightful online session to introduce the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) and IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) Chapters. The event featured three distinguished speakers who shared their expertise and shed light on the mission and activities of these two vital IEEE societies.

Representing IES, Mr. Ala Chalghaf, Vice President for IES Student Activities Committee, and Ms. Olfa Belhaj Brahim, Chairwoman of the IES Tunisia Section Chapter, provided a comprehensive overview of the society’s role in advancing industrial electronics. They discussed key initiatives, membership benefits, and opportunities available for students and professionals interested in the field.

On behalf of PES, Ms. Madiha Neifar, Chairwoman of the PES Tunisia Section Chapter, introduced the society’s contributions to power and energy systems. She highlighted ongoing projects, networking opportunities, and ways for members to get involved in shaping the future of sustainable energy.

The session was an engaging platform for participants to gain deeper insights into these societies, ask questions, and explore potential career and research opportunities within IEEE. Hosted via Google Meet, the event attracted a diverse audience eager to learn from the powerhouse trio leading the session.
